Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

This policy explains what information Ceum collects, how it is used, and what choices are available.

Information Collected

Ceum collects information provided directly — such as name, email address, and financial data entered into the service.

How Information Is Used

Collected information is used to provide and improve the service, communicate with account holders, and comply with legal obligations.

Legal Basis for Processing

Personal data is processed on the following bases: performance of the contract to provide the service; consent, for product analytics; legal obligation, for billing and accounting records; and legitimate interest, for keeping the service secure and improving it.

Analytics

Product analytics — how features are used, to help improve the service — are collected only with explicit opt-in consent. No analytics are collected until that consent is given, and it can be withdrawn at any time from the app's Settings, after which analytics collection stops.

AI Assistant

Ceum includes an in-app AI assistant. Each assistant session — the messages sent and the responses received — is stored so that conversations can be continued and to help improve the quality and reliability of the service. These chat records are not sold or shared with third parties beyond the service providers required to operate the assistant, and are permanently deleted when the associated account is deleted. Anonymous operational metrics about each request — the timestamp, the model used, token counts, and response latency — are retained for service analytics; these contain no personal data or message content.

Subscription and Billing Data

Records of subscriptions, plan changes, and cancellations are retained for accounting and legal purposes, and may be kept after a subscription or account ends where required by law. Payment card details are handled directly by a third-party payment processor and are not stored by Ceum.

Cookies and Local Storage

Ceum uses cookies and local storage that are essential to operate the service — for example to keep account holders signed in and to remember preferences. Analytics-related storage is only used after opt-in consent is given.

Information Sharing

Personal information is not sold. Data may be shared with service providers involved in operating Ceum, subject to confidentiality obligations.

International Data Transfers

Ceum relies on service providers that may process data in countries other than the account holder's own. Where data is transferred internationally, appropriate safeguards are applied to protect it.

Data Security

Appropriate technical and organisational measures are in place to protect account data against unauthorised access or disclosure.

Data Retention

Account data is retained while the account is active. After an account is deleted, its data is deleted or anonymised, except for records that must be kept to meet legal obligations — such as billing records — which are retained only for as long as required.

Your Rights

Account data can be reviewed and updated directly in the app's Settings. Depending on applicable law, account holders may also have the right to access, correct, export, or erase their data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights or raise other data-related queries, reach out at support@ceum.app. Where a supervisory authority has jurisdiction, a complaint may also be lodged with it.
